What:
Neighborhoods hold qualifying rounds in each of the various events. There are 16 events in total - all with little barrier to entry, including the 40 yard dash, hula-hoop endurance, chess, and more. This event will have everything from community engagement and team building to neighborhood bragging rights and will be topped off with medal ceremonies. |
Where:
Qualifying rounds are held in various neighborhoods, which will send their qualifiers for friendly competition at the Cincinnati Neighborhood Games Final Events. The Parade of Neighborhoods will feature participants from each neighborhood following their neighborhood flag for the opening ceremony. |
Why:
The Cincinnati Neighborhood Games will bring all 52 Cincinnati neighborhoods together for fun and camaraderie. It will also give residents and community organizations which do not typically interact with one another the ability to collaborate via knowledge sharing, education, enrichment and physical activity. |
Who:
The Cincinnati Neighborhood Games enables all residents, regardless of age and economic status, to participate. To take part, one must either live, work, worship, or attend school in one of the 52 neighborhoods. A participant may not represent more than one neighborhood. For instance, if you live in Westwood but work in Hyde Park, you must select one or the other to represent. |
